Nobody wants to leave dirty stains behind, but there are some stains which even pressure washer cannot remove alone. Such stains require some additional treatment. Cleaning soap can remove those stains and make cleaning easier. However, many people do not know how to use soap with pressure washer. This guide will make things easier if you also want to learn.
- Get prepared:
Prepare the floor before you begin the process. Ensure things which you do not want to get wet are perfectly covered. Your cleaning process can cause damage if you do not take the necessary precautions before beginning the cleaning process.
- Are you using soap tank or bucket?
Most of the pressure washers come with a soap tank. Fill it with soap and turn the valve on to apply that soap.
If your pressure washer doesn’t have a soap tank, then you will have to get a bucket along with a hose to deliver soap. Check if the cleaning solution injecting tube is connected to the washer pump. Put the other end into the bucket to deliver cleaning soap.
- Prepare cleaning solution:
Mix the soap in water or prepare another cleaning solution you want to apply. Now put one end of the hose in the bucket and connect another end to the washer. Check the setting of detergent nozzles.
You can run the nozzle at both high-pressure and low-pressure modes. Select low-pressure mode when applying soap or other cleaning solution. Thus, you can more effectively apply the soap and it will not be wasted on the floor.
- Apply the soap:
Once everything is ready, turn on the pressure washer and apply the soap in an upward direction. Apply two or more coats to ensure no place is missing. That’s how you can thoroughly cover the target object with soap.
Do not throw water immediately after applying the soap. Wait for 5 to 10 minutes so that the soap can loosen stains. The soap will not dry within 5 minutes but it will work to loosen tough stains and then you can finish your work much faster.
- Clean the surface:
After 5-10 minutes you should turn off a detergent valve or remove the hose from the detergent bucket. Now is the time to clean the soap along with underlying stains. Switch the nozzle to the high-pressure mode and clean the whole surface. Throw water in a downward motion so that you can easily remove soap and other impurities. Now check how clean the surface is looking.
